The most likely cause of power steering pump whine is air in the system. The Steering system must be bled completely.

The rack and pinion does not return to center by itself. The geometry of the front suspension causes the wheels to return to center coming out of a turn. If the vehicle will not return to center, first, check the front end alignment, then, check for a restricted return line in the power steering system. If the return line is restricted or kinked, this could be blocking the flow of fluid back to the pump.

This condition is caused by Teflon sealing rings on the spool valve wearing grooves in the aluminum housing of the rack and pinion resulting in an internal bypass of pressure. Once the housing warms up, the metal will expand and reduce the pressure loss. The rack and pinion must be replaced.

Shipping & Delivery:

Complete Car Parts offers free shipping on thousands of products. Our preferred shipping method is UPS Ground, however smaller items may be shipped USPS First Class or Priority.

Delivery times will vary, and products may ship separately from different warehouses located across the United States. Depending on warehouse locations and shipping destination, delivery times can range from 2 to 6 business days.

Note:
Free shipping is eligible only to U.S. delivery addresses within the 48 states. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO addresses. Expedited shipping options are available for select items. Some orders may require a signature confirmation at time of delivery.


Warranty:

Complete Car Parts limited warranty covers against defects in material or workmanship from the date of purchase. A dated sales receipt must be included to show your product was purchased within the warranty period.

We handle all manufacturer warranty claims on your behalf.

Any product found to be defective within 30 days of purchase is eligible for a refund or replacement, however any product found to be defective after 30 days but beforethe warranty period has expired are only eligible for a replacement only. Replacement product does not renew the warranty period.

When a product is found to be defective, Complete Car Parts will cover the costs of shipping of the replacement part to the original purchaser. Warranty and UPS related claims may require authentication, but not limited to pictures, video, or shipment back to the manufacturer.

Note: Do not dispose of defective parts until instructed.

If the defective part is requested to be returned to the manufacturer, Complete Car Parts will issue a call tag for the original purchaser to ship the product back. The original purchaser is responsible for packaging and delivery to a UPS driver or suitable UPS facility for return shipment. Failure to return the requested product will result in denial of current warranty claim.

All returned products must be accompanied by an approved RMA number provided by Complete Car Parts.

No reimbursements will be given for delay, labor, mileage, car rental, or any other costs involved in installation or re-installation of any product in question.
